Has discovered a new alternative source of Internet, which can produce speeds up to 100 times faster than WiFi. This technology known as Li-Fi was invented in 2011 thanks to Professor Harald Haas, University of Scotland. Haas, showed a single LED light that is able to turn on and off in a matter of nanoseconds to transmit data.
Studies of the offices and industrial centers of Estonia, they found that Li-Fi can reach speeds of 1 Gbps (gigabits per second). Li-Fi signal, however, is powered by light so it cannot travel through walls like WiFi. But, this limited range could allow for more secure connections and prevent interferences from other devices.
In my opinion, this fact can revolutionize the technological world we know today, because with this event films could lose Internet in seconds, which can provide us with very different things that we do, as upload a database instantaneously, etc...
