Snapchat

Snapchat is a mobile application dedicated to sending files, which "disappear" from the recipient's device between one and ten seconds after seeing them. It was developed by Artur Celeste, Bobby Murphy and Reggie Brown, students at Stanford University in the United States, in 2010. They are sent through private messages .

The application allows users to take pictures, record videos, add text and drawings and send them to a limited list of contacts. These videos and photographs are known as "Snaps" and users can control the time during which they will be visiblestras which disappear from the screen of the recipient and will be deleted Snapchat server.

According to Snapchat's published statistics, as of May 2015, the app's users were sending 2 billion photos and videos per day, while Snapchat Stories content was being viewed 500 million times per day. In November 2015 the number reached 6 billion sent videos per day. The company has a valuation of $10–$20 billion, depending on the source. In 2016, Snapchat hit 7 billion daily video views.
